Earlier this year the Ministers of Housing and Finance established the Housing Shareholders’ Advisory Group to provide independent advice to the Government on the delivery of state  housing assistance to those most in need. The group has completed a report entitled Home and Housed: A Vision for Social Housing in NZ.  The report highlights some major issues in relation to the provision of housing and has developed some recommendations for the future. The   government has asked the advisory group to discuss their findings with key stakeholders before it considers the report further.  Members of the Advisory Group will give an over view of the report and invited participants at the Canterbury Māori Community Consultation Forum to give feedback.
