Cookie Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026

This page sets out which cookies and similar technologies the site uses, the purpose of each, how long it persists on your device, and how to control them. Personal-data handling is covered on the Privacy Policy page; this is the technical companion. The site is described on the About page, with the operator review on the 888 Casino homepage.

1. What a cookie is, briefly

A cookie is a small text file a site requests your browser to save on your device. On the site's next load, the browser passes the file back, so the site can recognise the visit, hold a setting, or count traffic. Cookies neither run code nor read other files, and cannot personally identify you unless other information has already been linked to them. Other browser-storage mechanisms (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB) work much the same way; here, "cookie" covers them all.

2. Categories of cookies used on this site

There are three categories, offered on first visit through a consent banner you can return to whenever you like using the footer link.

CategoryPurposeConsent required
Strictly necessaryMake the site work: load the page, remember your cookie-banner choice, route traffic, block abuse. No (legal basis: legitimate interest)
AnalyticsAnonymous, aggregated traffic measurement: which pages are read, where readers arrive from, which links are clicked.Yes
Affiliate trackingRecognise that a click through to 888 Casino (or any partner) originated from this site so the partnership can be credited.Yes

This site does not use advertising or remarketing cookies. There is no on-site display advertising, no programmatic ad network and no cross-site pixel tracking whatsoever. The funding model is detailed on the Affiliate Disclosure page.

3. Specific cookies, third parties and lifetimes

NameSet byCategoryPurposeLifetime
kb_consentThis siteStrictly necessarySaves your cookie-banner choice so the banner does not reappear on every page load.12 months
kb_sessionThis siteStrictly necessaryAnonymous session identifier used to load assets and rate-limit abusive traffic.Until browser closes
_ga, _ga_*Google Analytics 4AnalyticsAggregated traffic statistics. IP addresses are anonymised before storage.14 months
kb_affThis siteAffiliate trackingLogs that a click on an outbound 888 Casino link came from this site so the partnership is credited.30 days

Third-party policies: Google Privacy & Terms covers Google Analytics. 888 Casino and other partner sites set their own cookies once you click through; those are governed by the operator's own privacy policy.

4. How to control cookies in your browser

Any modern browser can block cookies, delete saved ones, or turn down third-party cookies. Official documentation:

You can also use private or incognito browsing, which stops cookies being saved across sessions.

5. What happens if you decline non-essential cookies

The site keeps working normally. You can read every page, follow every internal link, and click through to 888 Casino. Three small differences appear: traffic statistics will not include your visit; if you click an affiliate link with affiliate tracking declined, the partnership cannot be credited (888 Casino still treats you exactly the same; only the commission does not register); and the consent banner reappears if you wipe your cookies, because the choice itself is stored in a cookie. Editorial standards sit on the Editorial Policy page, and player-safety commitments on the Responsible Gaming page.

6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

This site honours the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal: when your browser sends GPC, all non-essential cookies are blocked automatically and no consent banner appears. The older Do Not Track header has no agreed enforcement standard and is not relied on.

7. Updates to this policy

Should the cookies change, this page is updated and the "Last updated" date is moved. Material changes (new categories, new third parties) come with a one-time consent banner refresh. Minor housekeeping changes do not trigger a fresh prompt.

8. Questions and complaints

Questions about particular cookies are best directed to the Contact page. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at priv.gc.ca handles complaints under PIPEDA.
